Laboratory Assignments
We have an every-other day lab schedule.
1. The weighting for each marking period is listed at the top of the THIS WEEK page
2. There will be approximately 12 labs a marking period (MP 1 and MP 2)
3. Most labs will be completely finished within class time and some labs are called “on-your-own” labs and those will be completed outside of class. Some labs will begin in class and then be completed at home
4. Each student must “satisfactorily complete” 1200 minutes (approximately 30 lab reports) of lab time in order to sit for the Regents exam in June. This means the grade must be a 65% or above (before late points). If a student does not score at least a 65%, the lab will be returned to them for corrections. By doing the corrections the lab will now count for the Regents requirement. However, this will not change the score in the gradebook
5. Each day a lab report is late (without a valid reason) 10 points will be deducted from the score
